Cost to start beekeeping?

Can someone tell me what id need to start basic beekeeping (for honey) and the cost of each thing?

Here's a list of the basic equipment you will need to start:

a beehive
a smoker
protective clothing and gloves
books, I would get a lot of books with information for the beginner.

the cost, well, I guess that would depend on where you are from and where you buy it.
