Breeding Bees
some strange bees?

well on the road thet turns off of my friensd driveway theres these lengths about 13feet long and the width of the road wer theres these strange burrows about 1/4 inch wide, PERFECT circle. theres hundreds of them and theres bees flying around and theres a bunch of dead ones on the ground. any plausible explanation. the part i mostly want explained is how they make a perfect hole no imperfections like they were made by a drill. but i also awnt to kno mayb the breed and y the hell they make those holes in the middle of a rock hard road. any accurate info is greatly appreciated

Probably Mason Bees. They burrow very clean circular holes, usually in dead wood. They don't eat the wood like termites... just make their homes there. At certain times they may gather in large numbers to mate.

I've seen them make the holes and I don't know how they are so perfect. It reminds me of the perfect hexagons of honeybees.
