Beekeeping Basics

Beekeeping is one of the oldest forms of food production dating from as far back as 13,000 BC. The story goes back to ancient Egypt, which was modernized for the entire time until 1860, when the first system of beekeeping was brought to the U.S. for a 19th Century Pennsylvania native named John Harbison. According history of beekeeping was practiced for the collection of honey, which is the mainstay of financial support beekeepers. Other elements that are harvested from honey, royal jelly and propolis, which arise from the use of medicinal purposes. The use of hive products has changed little since ancient times.

Many different types of bees were brought from elsewhere in Europe and even New Zealand. Before the '80s rolled around beekeeping was really a hobby and not a means to earn a living that is done mainly by farmers or relatives of a farmer who lived in a rural community where you can install a bee farm and maintained from time honored traditions passed down from generation to generation.

In beekeeping, Asian culture was done to produce honey and beeswax (which was used in the manufacture of candles and other products), but when an American scientist called LL Langstroth beekeeping took on a scientific level in 1851 had innovative space of bees within the hive removable. It was not until 1857 when it was discovered that bees can be manipulated to build a beehive frame directly, giving them a bit of wax for a foundation. Essentially, you will be educated in this way of life for everything related to beekeeping has become a second nature to you so, basically eat, sleep and breathe the art of beekeeping.
